Moxie Falls

Located near The Forks, Moxie Falls is a hidden gem for hikers of all levels. The easy 1-mile trail winds through mixed woods and ends at a dramatic 90-foot waterfall, one of Maine’s tallest.

Bring a picnic and plan to hang out. The falls have multiple viewpoints and shallow pools upstream for wading. It’s a great stop on a family road trip or part of a longer adventure in The Forks region.

Stay nearby at Northern Outdoors Resort, which offers cabins, a brewery, and rafting trips on the Kennebec River. Combine your hike with whitewater for a full-throttle day outdoors.
